How It Works
What Your Child Actually Does Every Day
Every STEAMESA lesson runs the same five phases, in the same order, K through 12. That consistency is the point — your student never has to relearn how the platform works, and you always know what stage they're in.
- Focus opens the lesson with a question worth caring about and an original image.
- Learn teaches the concept in plain, readable language written for your student to work through on their own.
- Apply puts it to work on something real, answered in writing.
- Model asks a Socratic question where your child explains their reasoning in their own words.
- Extend takes it off the screen with a project you can do together.
Forty-five minutes. Five phases. No filler.
Inside the Student Course Player
Your child sees only the subjects you purchased — nothing else appears. Locked weeks stay locked until the prior week is finished, so sequence is enforced by the platform rather than by you.
Every lesson can be read aloud with a single click, which matters for younger readers and for students who process better by ear. Every lesson has a tutor built in, scoped to that exact lesson, so your child can get unstuck without waiting on you. And every lesson lets them photograph handwritten work and submit it, so paper still counts.
Drafts autosave while they type. Once a response is submitted, it locks — it can't be edited by your student, by you, or by us.
Inside the Guardian Dashboard
You see lessons completed, current week, and overall progress at a glance, plus velocity by subject so you know which one is falling behind before it becomes a problem.
You can open any completed lesson and read exactly what your child wrote — their actual words, read-only. You can review every photographed assignment in one gallery. And you can generate a complete academic record at any time.
You can also drop your tutor's meeting link into the dashboard, and a Join Session button appears right inside your child's lessons. Clear it and the button disappears.
The Records You Get
Every completed lesson generates a sealed completion receipt. Those build into a Verified Academic Record covering coursework by academic year, standards covered, instructional days, completed electives, and seat-time credit equivalency for high school grades. It exports as a printable document, a CSV, or machine-readable JSON.
We don't assign grades or a GPA. We document what was completed and to what standard — you're the teacher of record, and that call is yours.
Here's the part nothing else in this market does. Every record carries a verification hash. Anyone holding a printed copy can check it against our system at a public web address, with no account and no login, and confirm the document hasn't been altered. An ESA program officer, a school registrar, or a co-op director can verify your family's record independently without ever contacting us.

Your Work Is Safe
Work saves to our servers the second it's submitted and survives signing out, closing the browser, and switching devices. Records are backed up nightly, encrypted, and stored off-platform, and we've tested the restore rather than assuming it works.
Your data is never sold, never shared, and never used to train anything. We don't store payment details. There's no ad tracking anywhere on the platform.
Getting Started
Using ESA or EFA funds: purchase through the ClassWallet marketplace exactly as you would from any approved vendor. We're approved in Arizona, Arkansas, New Hampshire, and Mississippi. Once your order clears, we personally set up your accounts and email you sign-in details plus one short step to link your student. Most families are running the same day.
Paying out of pocket: checkout is instant and access is automatic.
Every purchase carries 365 days of access counted from the day you start — not the day you buy. Your records, receipts, and academic records remain available permanently, even after your access window closes.
Not sure which product fits your student? Message us before you purchase and we'll help you get it right the first time. Or book fifteen minutes.
